# aisync > aisync keeps a Claude Code setup (settings.json, CLAUDE.md, skills, agents, commands, user MCP servers) as profiles in the user's own private GitHub repo and applies it on any machine with one pull. MCP tokens are encrypted (AES-256-GCM, passphrase) or kept in HashiCorp Vault; neither the repo nor ~/.claude.json ever holds a token in plain text, because servers are wrapped in `aisync exec` or given a `headersHelper`. Go CLI, no server, login via the GitHub CLI. Unofficial; not affiliated with Anthropic. Status: private beta (aisync 0.1). The source and install script are not public yet. Key facts: - One profile maps to one Claude Code config dir (CLAUDE_CONFIG_DIR): default = ~/.claude, other = ~/.claude-; profiles can extend one base profile. - Not synced: Claude login, projects/, history, caches, skills/synced/, skills/.trash/, plugin binaries. - Secret refs: {{secret:NAME}} (encrypted store) and {{vault:MOUNT/PATH#FIELD}} (Vault KV v2, token auth only); {{home}} for the home directory. - Start with `aisync scan` (finds hardcoded secrets, uploads nothing), then `aisync login`, `aisync capture default`, and `aisync pull default` on another machine. ## Docs (English) - [Get started](https://aisync.creco.dev/en/docs/start/index.md): From installing to pulling your setup on a new machine, the steps you do once. - [How it works](https://aisync.creco.dev/en/docs/how-it-works/index.md): What is stored in the repo, and what gets written to this machine on a pull. - [Secrets](https://aisync.creco.dev/en/docs/secrets/index.md): How tokens stay out of plain text, both in the repo and in your config files. - [Profiles and multiple accounts](https://aisync.creco.dev/en/docs/profiles/index.md): How to split and share your setup when you run Claude Code with several accounts, such as personal and work. - [Syncing and conflicts](https://aisync.creco.dev/en/docs/sync/index.md): What aisync keeps and what it asks about when more than one machine made changes. - [Using Vault](https://aisync.creco.dev/en/docs/vault/index.md): If you already run HashiCorp Vault, keep tokens there and only references in your setup. - [Admin UI](https://aisync.creco.dev/en/docs/ui/index.md): See and edit this machine's Claude Code setup in the browser. - [Security model](https://aisync.creco.dev/en/docs/security/index.md): What aisync protects, and what it doesn't. - [Command reference](https://aisync.creco.dev/en/docs/commands/index.md): Every command and option. - [Troubleshooting](https://aisync.creco.dev/en/docs/troubleshooting/index.md): Common errors and how to fix them. ## Optional - [Full docs in one file (English)](https://aisync.creco.dev/llms-full.txt) - [Full docs in one file (Korean)](https://aisync.creco.dev/ko/llms-full.txt)
